Mamma Sue

My best friends mother

I have been thinking about my best friend's mom lately, she was the most Godly woman I had ever met. She was always there, she was kind, gentle, and lost her fight with cervical cancer last year.
She was always talking about God's love, about how everything would work out, in the end.
And I just wanted to say, it has been hard without her, she was my 'second' mom.
And with that, I would like to say goodbye mamma Sue, and see you later okay?

So. . .What do I say?

So one of my mom's friends today said to me: Dearest One-I am sickened by, and cannot stand the ''Gun Culture" you are always in, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Blood and Bones-what am i suppose to say to that? seriously?! like, Hi, haven't spoken to you in more then 3 years, now you message me on facebook apologizing for me living or something-like I love her and all, she was a great motherly figure to me growing up, but what should I say to that? I am Happy I live in a ''Gun Culture" it helped me see I have what I have until someone wants to take it away, then I have to protect it.

The Vikings

That has the worst Christians ever

So I know I am not the only Homeschooling Christian that likes the Vikings off the History Channel out there. And I gotta say, Athelstan is a terrible Christian, every question that I could answer he is stumped on.
Like why did God let this happen? Maybe it was a test for you, to test your faith in Him. Seriously, bad things happen to good people, but if we are never falling, and just standing at the edge of the cliff, where is our faith that will make us jump when we have too?

Happy Birthday to me!

Happy birthday to me! Today I got a 4th Doctor scarf from my favorite Doctor Who, and a Polyproplene practice sword to sword fight with-yay! well, thanks to my mom who went through labor on today for me, and my twin brother. Love you all and God Bless!

Which Witch? By Eva Ibbotson

Which Witch is a funny little tale, meant for the age group of 12-14. It was easy reading, and made me laugh quite a bit.

It is about a witch named Belladonna, whom is a white witch. But she desperately wants to be a black witch. And when Arriman the Awful wants a bride, Belladonna wishes she could be she. But they are having a contest. And the one with the blackest magic is the one that will win. And Belladonna can’t even turn a typewriter into a nest of vipers-how could she possibly do a deed blacker then any of the other witches?

Review on: Across the Nightingale Floor

Book by: Lian Hearn

Across the nightingale floor was a magical tale that kept me captivated. Lian did a wonderful job at describing elegant, magically enticing scenes. Though in the ending, I had to throw the book across the room, angered at what had happened.
Age group: 16+
POV: first person past tense.
Plot: A boy from among the Hidden, a culture of no war and peace comes back from gathering mushrooms in the woods to find all of his family, and everyone in the village murdered. The murderer, still in the town, Mino, Iida the warlord. After escaping his from him and running into the woods he meets someone else: Otori Shigeru. Shigeru helps the boy escape, and brings him to his home, and renames him Takeo, after Shigeru’s brother, who has recently died. Takeo has greater powers then he realized, he has supper human hearing, and wasn’t just part of the Hidden, is also part of the Tribe. An elite group of assassins that kill for the highest bidding. But Takeo doesn’t care about the Tribe, all he wants is to seek revenge on the Warlord Iida for killing his mother, step father, and step sister.

Reading

I like to read, I like to read a lot. Big books, little books, small books, tall books. Good books, bad books, scary books, nice books.

And I really have NO idea why my post turned into a Dr. Seuss book up there! Anyway. I do love to read, and am doing "Blogging for Books" and trying to apply for Booksneeze. I love to get books at garage sales, book sales, or at the store. I also like the books you can't get at your local B&N, which include Prydian Chronicles, Iron Codex, any Tamora Pierce book out there, Swan Maiden, Daughter of Prophecy.
I am going to post a review on a book on the next post, and thought I would tell you what i was interested in encase you were too.

Glow

Shining like a star in this world

It is hard to follow God these days, not that it was hard in ancient times, with death penalties and trips to the Colosseum. But a lot of people confuse what is 'right' with what is 'right' in culture. In Rome it was kinda easy to see that these people wanted to kill you so you didn't follow them. Today they kinda meld into our thinking. Which is dangerous for us youth. Too many of my friends don't think it is important to marry a Christian, or do evangelicalism, or even have fellowship. I am disturbed at some of the things they find acceptable in the church.
So, I want to finish this with even though old members of the church may not be 'up-to-date' they sometimes know things better then us youth. And remember to show them Christ, don't act like a Christian, act like Christ.

Blog of a Lady Knight

   Being a Lady Knight

I am a Lady Knight. Working for God with my armor that he has given me. I fight the enemy with the sword he has provided, and I block the enemy with the shield he has sponsored me.

Ephesians 6:10-20: "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." KJV

So as you can see above. It doesn't just say for men to wield the sword and wear the armor. He tells us girls to be Lady Knights too.
